My friend has a deal of two people flight there and back and hotel for 4 days for 1150. SO thats 575. For gambling and everything else would I be able to last with only another 500 or 600 for the next couple days or is that just not enough?

It depends what you play, and how much. If you find a $5 blackjack table off the main strip, then you can probably gamble for a couple days just fine. If you stay at a huge hotel with $15-$25 mins, then you may not last long. Or, you can find .25 or even $1 machines and just drink as much as you can. :)

Or, sit at the sportsbook, play $50 a game, and drink. You can do it on that amount, but you need to be prudent with your cash.

I agree.

It all depends on what your play is and where you are staying at... and is gambling the only thing you will be doing... My only thing about this trip is... if you are only going for gambling, why not go to a casino closer to you. That saves you money overall. Onto Vegas, its likely that you want to play in a casino closer to you hotel room so you can crash or relax after a long session. Nice casinos have higher limits whereas your lower scale casinos have lower limits.

On a side note... I hate playing at $5 dollar blackjack tables and craps due to idiots who dont know how to play (like hitting against a dealer bust card)

As to bankroll: that just like in sports wagering... relates to how much are you willing to risk. Bringing a $500 bankroll works really well for me at low limit tables, but not much on $25 - 50 dollar tables.
